The work is about a connecting line, shape, and color with modern usage of understanding oneself. The figures are meant to replicate a biblical message that portrays a sense of tranquility. The specific shapes and line are meant to connect oneself with the higher meaning to ones individual spiritual meaning. The work is created to allow the viewer to escape their personal reality and enter a level of levitated belief. As the artist, I inspire the viewer to achieve a connection to personal experience, a feeling that progressed or forwarded them to a higher state of being beyond themselves. The use of certain representation of universal and religious objects and figures, tie the viewer to a narrative that holds impact or emotion that excavates their experience. I desire the viewer to experience a location that thrusts a mature level of knowledge upon themselves. My main medium is oil on canvas, with the use of graphite to control the line. My main goal is not to force the viewer to like the work, instead it is intended on making them remember it. I am currently painting in Richmond, Virginia.
